Brewers World Series presale leaves fans facing long waits and $1,000 standing-room tickets

MILWAUKEE — Brewers fans trying to buy tickets for a possible World Series run reported long waits and prices as high as $800 to $1,000 for standing-room options during a presale Thursday, Oct. 15, as Milwaukee held a lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.

The team’s postseason presale began at 10 a.m. Fans reported spending more than 30 minutes in an online waiting room, with some describing screens that appeared frozen. Those who got through found limited seating and expensive standing-room tickets, while people waiting at the American Family Field box office for hours encountered similar options.

Single-game World Series tickets were scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 2 p.m. Thursday, while supplies lasted. Fans could purchase online at brewers.com/Postseason, by calling 1-800-933-7890 or at the stadium box office. The presale required fans to verify Wisconsin residency.

If the Brewers advance, Games 1 and 2, as well as Games 6 and 7 if needed, would be played at American Family Field. The team advised fans to buy parking in advance, warning that day-of-game parking would be limited.
