A 15-year-old was taken to a hospital after falling from an overpass during a police search early Monday in West Milwaukee, authorities said. Police said the teen had run from a vehicle reported stolen in Milwaukee. Officers spotted the vehicle speeding at about 2:49 a.m. and followed it from Miller Park Way onto U.S. 175, according to West Milwaukee police. They ended the pursuit and later found the disabled vehicle on Interstate 94 near the stadium. Two people left the vehicle on foot, police said. One ran toward nearby railroad tracks and had not been found as of Monday. The 15-year-old climbed over an overpass ramp and fell, suffering injuries, police said. Milwaukee Fire Department personnel helped remove the teen, who had landed in water near rocks, and transported the person to a hospital, the department said. Police said they expect to refer possible charges involving the teen to Milwaukee Children’s Court after the investigation is complete. The investigation was ongoing, and police said there was no threat to the community.
