Sunny afternoon and mild World Series nights forecast for Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Dense fog across southeastern Wisconsin is expected to lift by mid- to late morning Friday, Oct. 23, before sunshine and unusually warm late-October temperatures arrive, according to the forecast.

Highs are expected to reach the mid-to-upper 60s near Lake Michigan and the low 70s farther inland. For Game 1 of the World Series Friday night, when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Tampa Bay Rays, skies are forecast to be mostly clear, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s.

The mild weather is expected to continue Saturday, with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Conditions should be quiet and comfortable for Game 2, scheduled for a 7 p.m. first pitch, as temperatures fall into the upper 50s.

More seasonable, cooler temperatures are expected to return next week, with a chance of rain from Tuesday through Thursday.
