Milwaukee police asked people to avoid the area near South Eighth and West Scott streets on Wednesday night, Sept. 30, as officers investigated what the department described as an “officer-involved incident.”
Milwaukee Police Chief of Staff Heather Hough confirmed the incident. A large police presence was reported, and yellow police tape blocked nearby streets.
The department said it would release more information as it became available. As of a 10:35 p.m. update, police had not publicly described the circumstances or said whether anyone was injured. No further details were available.
