One person was taken to a hospital after a crash involving a Milwaukee County Transit System bus Tuesday afternoon at South Howell Avenue and East Layton Avenue, near Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department. As of an update published at 2:25 p.m. Oct. 6, officials had not said whether the injured person was riding the bus or traveling in another vehicle. The person’s injuries were not disclosed. Milwaukee police and MCTS had been contacted for more information. No further details about the crash were available at the time of the update.
