A 28-year-old Greenfield man was injured in a shooting in Caledonia early Sunday after an altercation between two groups, police said. Caledonia officers were called at about 2:48 a.m. to the 13600 block of 6½ Mile Road for a reported hit-and-run crash. They found the man with a possible gunshot wound to his upper back, and his vehicle appeared to have several bullet holes. He was taken to a hospital, treated for injuries that were not life-threatening and released, police said. Investigators believe the confrontation began outside Caledonia and continued into the village, where shots were exchanged. Police said they do not believe the incident poses an ongoing danger to the public.
