A woman was in critical condition Thursday after a man shot her and then fatally shot himself at a home in southwest Miami-Dade, according to Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Deputies responded shortly after 11 a.m. to the 15400 block of Southwest 148th Street after receiving a call about a possible shooting. They found the man and woman with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was taken to a hospital, deputies said.
Investigators said the two had argued before the shooting. Deputies described the incident as apparently domestic in nature, but said the pair’s family relationship has yet to be established. The people involved have not been publicly identified. Investigators recovered a gun next to the man, deputies said.
The circumstances remain under investigation.
