Pembroke Pines police recovered a body from a waterway Thursday as the search continued for Alan Lok, a 47-year-old man reported missing last week from the Pierpoint community.
The body was found near 11900 NW 11th St. Police said the person had not been identified and that they had no further information to release. A medical examiner was at the scene.
Police said Lok remains missing and search efforts in the area are continuing. Investigators have not established whether the recovered body is connected to his disappearance.
Authorities searched a lake near the community last week after Lok was reported missing. No additional details were immediately available Thursday.
