Alexander brothers face Oct. 27 sentencing after federal sex-trafficking convictions

Federal prosecutors are urging a New York judge to sentence three Alexander brothers to life in prison after their March convictions on sex-trafficking charges, arguing that they drugged and sexually assaulted women over roughly two decades. The brothers are scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 27.

Oren and Alon Alexander, both 39, and Tal Alexander, 40, were convicted of multiple federal charges. Prosecutors said they had identified at least 70 women who were raped or sexually assaulted by at least one of the brothers. Eleven women testified at trial, describing assaults after they became disoriented and lost control of their bodies, in some cases after receiving a drink from one of the men.

In sentencing submissions filed Wednesday, prosecutors said the abuse began as early as 2001 or 2002, when the brothers were in high school, and continued through a pattern involving drugs, parties and luxury trips. The charges carry a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison. The federal probation office recommended 15 years for each victim the men were convicted of raping, a calculation that would produce sentences of 180 years for Alon and Tal and 195 years for Oren.

The brothers’ lawyers recommended 15-year sentences. They said the men apologize for behavior they described as insensitive toward some women, while maintaining their innocence of the criminal charges. The defense also argued that the evidence was weak on key issues and said it expects to challenge the convictions on appeal.

Oren and Tal became prominent luxury real estate brokers, known for high-value sales and celebrity clients. Alon ran the family’s private security company. All three have been jailed since their 2024 arrests in Miami.

The case has drawn attention in South Florida because of the brothers’ ties to Miami and the luxury property market. Their convictions and the coming sentencing put the alleged abuse of women and the use of wealth and social access at the center of a high-profile federal prosecution.
