UW-Madison said it received two reports Sunday, Sept. 27, involving allegations of drugging and sexual assault connected to off-campus fraternity houses. In the first report, a person said they may have been drugged at a fraternity house overnight Saturday into Sunday and fondled at two separate fraternity houses. The university said the incident was reported to the Madison Police Department. In the second report, a person said they may have been drugged at an off-campus fraternity house on Sept. 17 and later sexually assaulted at a residence hall in southeast Madison. The university said the person and the alleged assailant know each other. The incident was not reported to police, and there is no police investigation, according to the university. UW-Madison did not identify the fraternity houses or residence hall. University leaders said the school has zero tolerance for sexual assault and harassment, and emphasized that sexual assault is never the victim’s fault.
