Belleville police are searching for a man accused of pushing two children to the ground on the Badger State Trail on Monday afternoon. Officers were called shortly after 2:15 p.m. to the trail near Anderson Custom Processing, 220 Serv-US Street, after a report that a man on a bicycle had assaulted two children, police said. The girls told officers they were walking when the cyclist fell off his bike, then got up and approached them aggressively before pushing them to the ground. The man was last seen on the trail near County Highway A in the Town of Montrose, according to police. Police described him as a white man in his 30s or 40s with a beard and mustache. He was wearing a gray-and-black spandex shirt and shorts and a black helmet, and was riding a black bicycle.
