A Ridgeway man died in a three-vehicle crash on US 18/151 near Mile Marker 55 on Friday night, according to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred at about 8:41 p.m. in the Town of Ridgeway. Authorities said Collin E. Giddings was driving east when his car left the road and entered a ditch. After he returned to the highway, a pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Cody L. Anderson of Verona struck his car from behind. A second car, driven by 61-year-old Julia E. Allen of Fitchburg, then hit Giddings’ vehicle. Giddings was ejected from the car and died at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. Anderson was treated at the scene and released. Allen was taken to Upland Hills Health with injuries described as not life-threatening; she was later released. Eastbound US 18/151 was closed for several hours after the crash and reopened at about 2:14 a.m. Saturday. The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating.
