OREGON, Wis. — A 17-year-old from Edgerton was arrested early Saturday after Oregon police said he assaulted officers and resisted arrest during a response to a home where people reported aggressive behavior and suspected drug use. Officers were called shortly before 2:30 a.m. to a residence in the 100 block of Cedar Drive, according to the Oregon Police Department. Callers reported that an adult man believed to be under the influence of a suspected hallucinogenic substance was acting aggressively and had allegedly tried to fight people inside the home. During officers’ interaction with the teen, police said he struck an officer in the chest and tried to take an officer’s weapon. Officers eventually took him into custody and brought him to a local hospital, where police said he attempted to hit medical staff, kicked an officer and spat on another officer. One officer was injured, according to police. The teen was arrested on suspicion of battery to a law enforcement officer, throwing or expelling bodily fluids at a public safety worker, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. The allegations have not been proven in court.
