Robert McCandless, 44, dies after accident at south Louisville steel company
Robert McCandless died after suffering blunt force injuries in a workplace accident early Wednesday at Siskin Steel and Supply Co. Louisville Metro Police are investigating.
A 44-year-old man died Wednesday after a workplace accident at Siskin Steel and Supply Co. in south Louisville, police said.
Emergency crews were called to the facility in the 7600 block of Port Road at about 2:24 a.m. The man, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as Robert McCandless, was found with multiple blunt force injuries to his lower body and taken to a hospital, where he died.
Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the death. Police have not released further details about how the accident occurred.
