Louisville ex-officer denies charges over alleged alerts to family member
A former Louisville Metro Police Department officer pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges alleging he used his position to help a family member who was under investigation. Brennan Keen, 22, entered the plea through his attorney during a brief court appearance in Louisville on Oct. 8. He is charged with official misconduct and unlawful access to a computer. Court records allege Keen alerted the relative to a car police were tracking, then provided another warning after the relative changed vehicles. He is also accused of checking for warrants and sharing the results. LMPD’s police chief fired Keen in July. Keen is scheduled to return to court next month. The allegations have not been proven in court.
