A 17-year-old accused of killing a teenager during Las Vegas’ First Friday event appeared in court Tuesday and is being held without bail as an adult, according to court records and police information cited in the case. Issac Manriquez is charged with one count of open murder with the use of a deadly weapon and two counts of attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon. He is accused of shooting and killing 15-year-old Carth Onasi Jacobs-Rodgers near Charleston Boulevard and Main Street at about 10:15 p.m. Oct. 2. Police arrested Manriquez on Oct. 6 after investigators linked him to the shooting through a wallet recovered at the scene. A Clark County judge signed an order the following day directing that he be held at the Clark County Detention Center to face the charges as an adult. Manriquez’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 17. The charges are allegations, and the case remains before the court.
