The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will close its District 3 substation at 8875 Liberty Ridge Drive on Thursday, Oct. 15, while relocating to a new facility, the agency said. The substation serves Jacksonville’s Mandarin and Southside areas. JSO said there will be no interruption to public services during the move. Residents can instead visit the Public Services Building and District 1 Substation at 450 Magnolia St., or District substations 2, 4, 5 or 6. The Public Services Building and substations are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. JSO did not provide the address of the new District 3 facility in its announcement.
