Two people died after a home on Green Hollow Drive caught fire early Saturday, and a firefighter was treated for minor injuries. Investigators have not determined what caused the blaze.
Two people were killed in a house fire early Saturday in Grand Prairie, where firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed and its roof collapsing, authorities said.
Crews were called shortly before 5 a.m. to the 3600 block of Green Hollow Drive after reports that two people might be trapped inside. Firefighters removed a man through a window and took him to a hospital, where he later died. A woman was found inside the home and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Grand Prairie Fire Department said crews continued searching for the second victim as the home’s walls began to collapse. A firefighter was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
The victims’ names have not been made public. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
