Ohio State’s Oct. 10 homecoming game against Maryland will kick off at 4:15 p.m. at Ohio Stadium, the university announced Monday, Sept. 28. It will be the Buckeyes’ first home game of the 2026 season with a start time later than 12:30 p.m. The matchup is also the 10th meeting between Ohio State and Maryland and the teams’ first game against each other in three years. Ohio State has won all nine previous meetings, scoring at least 37 points in each victory. The Buckeyes entered the week after a 42-19 win over Illinois, with a road game at Iowa scheduled for Oct. 3 before Maryland visits Columbus. Maryland began the season 2-1 in nonconference play, beating Hampton and Connecticut before falling 35-26 to Virginia Tech. The Terrapins opened Big Ten play with a 54-3 home loss to UCLA. After the Maryland game, Ohio State is scheduled to visit Indiana on Oct. 17, take a bye Oct. 24 and travel to USC on Oct. 31. The Buckeyes’ regular-season schedule also includes home games against Oregon, Northwestern and Michigan, with the Michigan game set for noon Nov. 28.
