Lease talks end as Delaware’s Old Bag of Nails sets final service for Oct. 11
Old Bag of Nails Pub’s Delaware location will serve customers for the last time Sunday, Oct. 11, ending a run of about 22 years at 66 N. Sandusky St. The restaurant said in a Facebook post on Oct. 6 that it could not reach a long-term agreement with its landlord that would allow it to keep operating. It thanked its employees and the Delaware community for more than two decades of support and said it would be happy to return to the city if an opportunity comes up in the future. The pub opened in Delaware in 2004. The Ohio restaurant chain began in Worthington in 1996 and continues to operate there. It has 16 locations, including several across the Columbus area and one in Lansing, Michigan. The chain serves British-inspired pub food and American comfort dishes, including fish and chips, burgers, wings and lobster rolls. Its Delaware location’s posted Sunday hours were noon to 9 p.m.
