COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly 19 years after Anthony Morgan was fatally shot in South Linden, Columbus police are asking anyone with information about the killing to come forward. Morgan, 18, was sitting in a blue 1994 Ford Crown Victoria with two female acquaintances and a 17-month-old child at about 10 p.m. May 13, 2007, in the 1000 block of Rosewind Drive, police said. An unidentified man ran up to the parked car and fired one shot, striking Morgan in the upper body. Morgan ran from the car but collapsed a few blocks west, near the 1300 block of St. Clair Avenue. Medics pronounced him dead there. Investigators have not identified a suspect or established what led to the shooting. Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the killing. Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest or indictment.
