One killed in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 52 in Kendall County
A crash involving a semi-truck and another vehicle closed U.S. 52 near Church Road in Lisbon Township on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities had not released the identity of the person killed or explained what caused the collision.
One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. 52 near Church Road in Lisbon Township, Kendall County, on Tuesday, Oct. 20, authorities said.
The crash was reported at about 1:13 p.m., according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s deputies and Illinois State Police responded, and the roadway was closed while investigators examined the scene. Illinois State Police reported the road remained closed as of 3:40 p.m.
Authorities had not identified the person who died, said which vehicle that person was in or provided details about what led to the crash. The sheriff’s office urged drivers to use alternate routes while the investigation continued.
