Lincoln Park Clark Street corridor hit by overnight break-ins at 13 businesses

At least 13 businesses along a stretch of Clark Street in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood were damaged in a series of overnight break-ins from Monday into Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026.

The businesses were located between Fullerton Parkway and Demming Place. Restaurants targeted included Sultan’s Market, Kala Modern Greek, CM Chicken, Moon Bowls, Aloha Eats, Molly’s Cupcakes, Epic Snack Shack and Doner 97. Other affected businesses included The Other Side Bar, Little Bit Cleaner, Top Cleaners, a UPS store and a Great Clips salon.

Surveillance footage from Kala Modern Greek showed a person breaking the restaurant’s front door. Video from inside Molly’s Cupcakes captured two people entering through a smashed window. The entrance to Top Cleaners was also heavily damaged; the owner said a cash register containing $250 was missing.

The extent of any additional theft was unclear. Several abandoned cash registers were found on grass near Lincoln Park Zoo. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning, and further police details were not available.
