The crash left a heavily damaged gray sedan on the front lawn of a home, with debris scattered across the roadway and grass. Images from the scene showed deployed airbags and knocked-over trash and recycling bins along the car’s apparent path.

Police were investigating at the scene. As of the 4 a.m. hour, Kirchoff Road remained closed between Wilke and Oriole roads.

Authorities had not said how many people were in the car or whether anyone else was injured. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
