Charlotte’s Southern Christmas Show faces relocation after 2027
The annual event, which draws more than 100,000 visitors, is expected to leave the Park Expo and Conference Center as redevelopment approaches. It is scheduled to return to its longtime venue in 2026 and 2027.
The Southern Christmas Show is expected to move from Charlotte’s Park Expo and Conference Center after 60 years at the site, as redevelopment plans approach.
The show will be held at its usual location in 2026 and 2027. It attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year, making the eventual move a significant change for a major seasonal event and the businesses and visitors it brings to the area.
The venue change comes as Charlotte also faces questions about parking capacity around the Bojangles Coliseum complex, referred to as the BOPlex. The timing and details of the Christmas Show’s relocation have not been announced.
