Dayanna Familia, 35, was arrested over the weekend in connection with the Aug. 18 death of her 4-year-old daughter, Liyanna Bautista Familia. Prosecutors say the child died after ingesting fentanyl; Familia is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dorchester.
A 35-year-old Boston woman is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Dorchester on a manslaughter charge and other charges related to the death of her 4-year-old daughter, who died after ingesting fentanyl, prosecutors said.
Dayanna Familia was arrested over the weekend by the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office said Sunday. Her daughter, Liyanna Bautista Familia, died Aug. 18.
The district attorney’s office did not specify the other charges in its announcement. The allegations will be addressed in court, and Familia is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
