Two people were hospitalized after an overnight shooting in Atlanta’s Washington Park neighborhood, and one person was taken into custody, police said Thursday. Officers responded to Joseph E. Boone Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 8. The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to police. Investigators cordoned off the residential street and examined shell casings. Police said a car was involved but have not explained how or identified what led to the gunfire. The victims’ conditions and the identity of the person in custody were not immediately available. Police have not announced any charges.
