Stonecrest residents face another water outage as DeKalb repairs 8-inch main

STONECREST, Ga. — Residents in a DeKalb County neighborhood lost water service again Saturday night, days after spending two days without water while crews repaired a main in the same area.

County Watershed crews are working on an 8-inch water main break at Ottawa Trail and Rock Springs Road, officials said Sunday. Traffic controls are in place near the repair site.

Bottled water was scheduled to be available to residents after 1 p.m. Sunday at Ottawa Trail and Winslow Crossing. The county had not provided a timeline for restoring service in the information available Sunday.

The renewed outage follows a recent break at the same intersection that disrupted service during a two-day repair effort. Water was again reported off in the neighborhood Saturday night.
