Pickens County deputies are looking for Barry Young, who they say ran from a traffic stop Tuesday and has outstanding warrants, including one for aggravated assault. Authorities have deployed K-9 units and drones and urged residents not to approach him.
Pickens County deputies were searching the Hinton area Tuesday for Barry Young after he fled from a traffic stop, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies said Young has outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and other felony charges. He was reportedly seen near Mullinax Road, where residents could encounter increased law enforcement activity.
The sheriff’s office described Young as a white man about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 195 pounds, with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and a baseball cap. Deputies said K-9 units and drones were assisting in the search.
Authorities urged residents in the Hinton area to stay alert and secure their homes and vehicles. They warned people not to approach Young and to call 911 if they see him or have information about his whereabouts.
