Seattle police are searching for a suspect after a 30-year-old woman was stabbed Friday morning in Fremont, authorities said.
Seattle Fire Department crews responded to the area of Palatine Avenue North and North Market Street after a 911 call at about 9:15 a.m. reported a bloodied woman and said someone was trying to kill her, police spokesperson Shane Weatherford said.
Paramedics took the woman to Harborview Medical Center, where she was reported to be in stable condition, fire department spokesperson David Cuerpo said.
Police believe the woman and suspect know each other. Investigators also believe the suspect may have stabbed her before taking her car. Officers found the vehicle and plan to seize it as evidence, Weatherford said.
Police said there did not appear to be an ongoing threat to the public. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect.
