Tacoma police are investigating after an explosive device detonated outside a business in the 4800 block of Pacific Avenue on Monday evening, shattering the storefront’s glass door while three employees were inside.
Security camera footage showed a person approaching just after 6 p.m. and placing an object near the entrance. Police believe the person lit the device and walked away. It exploded less than a minute later, according to police.
No injuries were reported. The person has not been identified, and detectives are investigating. Police said the case could lead to felony-level charges for the person responsible.
