Man taken to hospital after reported shooting at North Seattle gas station

A man in his 40s was treated for a minor injury and taken to a hospital after a reported shooting at an Aurora Avenue gas station early Tuesday. Police blocked nearby streets as they investigated, but had not confirmed a shooting as of the morning report.

A man in his 40s was taken to a hospital with a minor injury after an incident reported as a shooting at a North Seattle gas station early Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, according to the Seattle Fire Department. Seattle police responded to the ARCO station at Aurora Avenue North and Northgate Way. Officers placed evidence markers in and around the parking lot, and the scene was cordoned off while the investigation was underway. At about 5:20 a.m., the Seattle Department of Transportation advised drivers to avoid the area. North 105th Street, which becomes North Northgate Way, was closed in both directions between Midvale Avenue North and Aurora Avenue North. Fire officials said medics treated the man and transported him to a hospital. The incident was reported to firefighters as a shooting, but Seattle police had not confirmed details of the incident as of the morning report.
