San Jose Police Arrest Four in Santana Row Hotel Armed Robbery, Three Suspects Still at Large

San Jose police have arrested four men in connection with an armed robbery and assault outside a hotel on Santana Row that left three victims shaken and prompted a months-long investigation.

The robbery occurred shortly after midnight on July 23, when three adults were entering a hotel in the 350 block of Santana Row and became involved in an altercation with seven male suspects, according to the San Jose Police Department. One suspect displayed a firearm, and two victims were assaulted. The suspects stole the victims' personal belongings before fleeing in multiple vehicles.

Robbery detectives used automated license plate reader cameras to identify the vehicles and the seven suspects. On Oct. 21, detectives, with assistance from several law enforcement units, arrested four suspects in Lathrop: Rahib Hameidi, George Iraola, Juan Guillermo-Silva, and Jesus Correa. During searches of the suspects' residences, investigators recovered four firearms. The four men were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of armed robbery.

Three other suspects — Cristobal Garcia, Anthony Mendoza and Ibrahim Farhat — remain at large, police said.

The case highlights the role of surveillance technology in solving violent crime, but also raises questions about the prevalence of illegal firearms and the challenges of apprehending suspects who flee across jurisdictions. Santana Row, a popular retail and dining destination, has generally been considered safe, and the arrests may reassure residents and visitors.
