San Francisco officials set briefing on February shooting of 49ers lineman Keion White
Police and prosecutors planned to discuss the investigation into the Mission District shooting that wounded Keion White in the ankle. The 49ers defensive lineman has recovered from surgery and is playing this season.
San Francisco police and the District Attorney’s Office planned to give an update Wednesday morning on the investigation into the February shooting of 49ers defensive lineman Keion White.
White was shot in the ankle after an argument between two groups inside a Mission District business, police said. He underwent surgery, recovered and has returned to play for the 49ers this season.
The shooting marked the second time in two years that a 49ers player was shot in San Francisco. Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was injured in an alleged attempted robbery in Union Square in August 2024 and later made a full recovery.
The police and prosecutors’ briefing was scheduled to address the investigation into White’s shooting.
