Pawtucket resident charged after alleged overnight intrusion at Brennan Middle School
Attleboro police arrested 25-year-old Jamison Grover after a motion alarm prompted officers to respond to Brennan Middle School before dawn Sunday. Police say lockers had been rummaged through and allege Grover entered a police cruiser and assaulted three officers during the incident and arrest.
A 25-year-old Pawtucket man was arrested Sunday after Attleboro police responded to an early-morning alarm at Brennan Middle School and found lockers rummaged through, according to police.
Officers arrived shortly before 5 a.m. after the school’s alarm system detected movement in several parts of the building, police said. During the investigation, officers allege, Jamison Grover entered a police cruiser parked outside the school. Police also said Grover was combative during his arrest and allegedly assaulted three Attleboro officers at the police station.
Grover was charged with nighttime breaking and entering, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, malicious destruction of property valued at more than $1,200, larceny from a building, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer. He was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
He was expected to be arraigned Monday in Attleboro District Court. The allegations have not been tested in court.
