Hasbro WARN filing lists 587 Pawtucket jobs for elimination Dec. 24
Hasbro plans to eliminate 587 jobs in Pawtucket as it relocates Rhode Island-based roles to its new Boston headquarters. The company says affected employees were told about the transition in September 2025.
Hasbro plans to eliminate 587 positions in Pawtucket by Dec. 24, according to a notice filed with Rhode Island under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
The toy company said the filing, submitted last week, formalizes a previously announced move of Rhode Island-based roles to its new corporate headquarters in Boston. Hasbro said employees affected by the relocation were informed on Sept. 1, 2025, and that the company has provided support during the transition.
The move shifts corporate jobs away from Pawtucket, where Hasbro was founded in the early 1920s. The company’s relocation marks a significant change for the city and for Rhode Island’s longstanding connection to the toy maker.
Hasbro has not provided further details in the information accompanying the filing about the affected positions or the support offered to employees.
