PacificSource plans 134 job cuts across four Oregon cities on Dec. 31
The Springfield-based insurer says the layoffs stem from ending its Montana service and Affordable Care Act offerings, along with reducing the size of its Oregon workforce. The cuts bring PacificSource’s announced layoffs over the past 13 months to 550.
PacificSource plans to lay off 134 employees in Springfield, Bend, Salem and Portland on Dec. 31, according to a notice the Springfield-based health insurer filed with the state on Oct. 20.
The notice cites the company’s withdrawal from Montana, the end of its Affordable Care Act offerings and what it calls a “right-sizing” of its Oregon workforce as reasons for the job cuts.
The layoffs follow several rounds of reductions at the company. A May 2026 notice announced 97 cuts. In 2025, PacificSource announced 54 layoffs in September and 265 more in October; the company cited a decline in Medicaid membership in Lane County as the reason for the latter round. Both sets of 2025 layoffs were scheduled to take effect at the end of that year.
With the latest announcement, PacificSource has announced 550 layoffs in the past 13 months.
