Cornelius Pass Road bridge opens as state takes over route
A replacement bridge over Rock Creek on Northwest Cornelius Pass Road has reopened after a six-month closure, the Oregon Department of Transportation said Oct. 11. The bridge is about three miles north of the road’s junction with U.S. 26, north of Hillsboro. Its opening comes as responsibility for the route transfers from Washington County to ODOT; the road has been redesignated as Oregon 127. The new single-span bridge has two vehicle lanes and wide shoulders. Construction began in April 2026. ODOT cautioned drivers to watch for crews completing remaining work near the bridge over the next few weeks.
