The airline identified the plane as flight FZ 1073 and said it had experienced an onboard incident. All passengers were safe and accounted for, flydubai said, without explaining what happened. Saudi authorities said the pilot and co-pilot were hospitalized after sustaining injuries on board. Their conditions and the circumstances of the injuries were not disclosed. Many passengers on the flight are Israeli and were left in Saudi Arabia after the diversion. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said he was consulting on the incident and monitoring developments.
