Taiwanese manufacturer invests $5 million in Glendale facility, plans 30 jobs
Gudeng Precision has opened a 12,000-square-foot production facility in Glendale, its first U.S. manufacturing site. The company says it plans to create 30 jobs in the facility’s initial phase.
Gudeng Precision Industrial Co. has opened a 12,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Glendale, marking the Taiwan-based company’s first U.S. production site and bringing a planned 30 jobs to the West Valley.
The facility is at 5260 W. Phelps Road in the 51 Bells Business Park. The company said it invested more than $5 million in the site, which will make components for the semiconductor and aerospace industries.
Initial operations will include computer-controlled machining for aircraft parts and precision inspection, according to the company. Gudeng said it intends to add equipment and deepen its connections with Arizona’s aerospace and semiconductor supply chains in later phases.
“We chose Arizona because of its exceptional aerospace and semiconductor ecosystems, highly skilled workforce, and strong commitment to advanced manufacturing and innovation,” said Bill Chiu, CEO of Gudeng Group.
The facility’s opening adds to the region’s manufacturing base, while the company’s longer-term hiring and expansion plans will depend on its future phases of investment.
