The shooting was reported at about 5 p.m. at a business near the southwest corner of 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The injured person was taken to a hospital.

Police said a suspect is in custody and described the incident as isolated, with no threat to the public. Officers taped off part of the shopping center, which includes a barber shop and a bicycle store.

Police had not released additional details, including the identities of the person who was shot or the suspect, as of Thursday morning.
