A 27-year-old woman is facing two counts of criminal homicide after a man and a 3-year-old boy were found dead Monday in a guest room at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pennsylvania, police said.
Pocono Township officers were called to the resort at about 3:13 p.m. Oct. 12 after receiving a report of a woman in distress. Police said Metallica Rose Harrison called 911 and told the dispatcher she needed help committing suicide. Officers found Harrison with wounds and took her to a nearby hospital, according to police.
The adult man and child were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Authorities have not publicly identified them or detailed how they died. Harrison is awaiting arraignment. The investigation remains active.
Police described the case as an isolated domestic incident and said there is no threat to the resort or surrounding community. Great Wolf Lodge said it is cooperating with law enforcement and expressed condolences to the family and loved ones affected.
