Pennsylvania State Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to a solution in the 2019 killing of Naython Brown, who was shot while waiting for help after his car got a flat tire on Interstate 95 in Delaware County.
Brown, 33, was found dead in the highway’s grassy median near the exit for the Commodore Barry Bridge on Oct. 18, 2019. Troopers said he had been shot in the head.
Investigators said Brown was driving a Chevrolet Monte Carlo south from Philadelphia toward Chester at about 9:30 p.m. when he got a flat. He was killed while waiting for assistance, according to police. Authorities have not said whether they believe the shooting was random or whether Brown knew the assailant.
Brown’s aunt, Lisshon Brown, said in 2020 that he worked at SEPTA and was a loving, hardworking person who supported and encouraged his family. She urged anyone with information to come forward, saying the family wanted to know what happened and see justice done.
