Fatal fire at Bensalem’s Primavera Square apartments damages six units

A man died and two other people were injured in a fire Saturday evening at Primavera Square Apartments in Bensalem, police said.

The fire began around 6:15 p.m. Oct. 17 in a second-floor apartment at 717 Station Avenue. Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department crews extinguished the blaze, which affected six apartments, according to police.

The man was found dead inside an apartment. Authorities have not released his identity. The two injured people were taken to a hospital with injuries police described as non-life-threatening.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Police said displaced residents were able either to return to an apartment or find another place to stay, so American Red Cross assistance was not needed.
