Cesar Pina admits role in New Jersey real estate investment fraud

NEWARK, N.J. — Cesar Pina, a New Jersey real estate promoter known online as “Flipping NJ,” pleaded guilty Thursday to wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in a multimillion-dollar investment scheme, according to federal investigators.

Investigators say Pina used social media and his real estate business to draw in dozens of investors, taking millions of dollars in what they described as a Ponzi-like scheme. The available details do not specify how much each investor lost or how the money was spent.

Pina also partnered with a celebrity disc jockey and radio personality to hold real estate seminars around the country. The person was not identified in the information available about the plea.

Pina is scheduled to be sentenced in March 2027. The guilty plea marks a significant step in a case involving investment pitches tied to property and promoted to prospective investors beyond New Jersey.
