Apartment proposal would replace South Broad parking lot beside Mario Lanza mural
A 68-unit apartment building is proposed for the Baldi Funeral Home’s surface lot at 1328-36 S. Broad St. The project includes a relatively large amount of parking for the area, though some neighbors want more.
A proposal for a 68-unit apartment building would replace the Baldi Funeral Home’s surface parking lot at 1328-36 S. Broad St., beside a mural honoring singer Mario Lanza.
The project is planned with an unusual amount of parking for an apartment building in this part of Philadelphia. Some neighbors say they want additional parking, putting the proposal’s parking supply at the center of local discussion.
The lot is currently used for surface parking by the funeral home. The proposal would bring housing to the South Broad Street site, though details about the project’s parking count and other features were not available.
