INTEGRIS Health plans to join national nonprofit network, pending approval

INTEGRIS Health has signed an agreement to become part of Risant Health, a nonprofit health organization created by Kaiser Permanente, the Oklahoma City-based system announced Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026.

The agreement still requires regulatory approval. INTEGRIS said it will keep its name, brand, leadership team and medical staff, and plans to continue working with other health plans, provider organizations and independent physicians.

INTEGRIS employs about 13,000 caregivers across Oklahoma and is the state’s largest nonprofit health system. If approved, it would be the third system in Risant Health, joining Geisinger and Cone Health. The move also marks Risant’s first expansion into Oklahoma.

Risant says its mission is to expand access to affordable, value-based care. INTEGRIS CEO Timothy Pehrson said joining the organization would give the system resources and capabilities to invest in its hospitals, clinics, technology and clinical services at a scale it could not achieve on its own as quickly.

The Oklahoma State Chamber also welcomed the agreement, saying it could bring investment and technology while preserving INTEGRIS’ Oklahoma identity and community ties. The potential benefits for patients and communities will depend on how the partnership is implemented; the announcement does not detail the agreement’s financial terms or specify what changes patients might see.
