Work on Seigenthaler Bridge’s East Bank access ramp to start Nov. 2
A new connector at Wasioto Park will add an East Bank on-ramp to the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, with completion targeted for December 2027. Officials say the work is not expected to close the existing bridge.
Construction of a new East Bank connector to Nashville’s Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge is scheduled to begin Nov. 2 at Wasioto Park, adding an on-ramp for people crossing the Cumberland River.
The connector is part of a broader set of changes around the new Nissan Stadium. The bridge is used by commuters, visitors, concertgoers and fans traveling between downtown and the East Bank.
Ben York, CEO of the East Bank Development Authority, said people should not expect the work to close the existing bridge. The Tennessee Titans say the connector is expected to be complete in December 2027.
A separate planned extension would bring the main bridge closer to the new stadium, which is being built farther from the river than the current stadium. The new stadium is expected to be finished in February 2027; the Titans say its roof is now fully closed.
