Driver in fatal Carroll County school bus crash faces two misdemeanor counts

A Carroll County judge appointed an attorney for Sabrina Ducksworth, the driver of a school bus involved in a March 27 crash that killed two Kenwood Middle School students, and set her next court date for Nov. 16.

Ducksworth faces two Class C misdemeanor traffic indictments stemming from the crash. She has not been indicted on vehicular homicide charges.

The students were on their way to a field trip when the crash occurred. The bus was associated with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. People involved in related cases have said they are still waiting for more information about a medical emergency cited as the cause of the crash.

Ducksworth said she has been unemployed since the crash. Family members of the students who died were visibly emotional during the brief court appearance.
