Nashville spa therapist faces three rape counts after client reports assault
Keenan Tejada, 25, was arrested after a client reported being sexually assaulted during a massage at a South Nashville spa. Police records say Tejada first denied sexual contact with clients, then described the encounter as consensual after investigators collected DNA evidence.
A 25-year-old massage therapist was arrested and charged with three felony counts of rape after a client reported being sexually assaulted during a session at a South Nashville spa, according to arrest documents.
The alleged assault occurred Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Sensation Day Spa. The woman went to the spa for a massage and was assigned to Keenan Tejada, police records say. She later told officers she had been “frozen with fear” and went to Nashville’s Sexual Assault Center after leaving the spa.
A Metro Nashville police officer interviewed Tejada at the spa, according to the documents. He initially denied having sexual relations with clients, the records say. After the officer collected DNA evidence, Tejada changed his account and said the encounter was consensual, according to the allegations.
Tejada’s bond was set at $75,000. The Tennessee Department of Health’s licensure database listed him as holding an active massage therapist license. The charges are allegations, and the case has not been decided in court.
